Pariwisata, telah menjelajahi berbagai segmen industri yang memiliki banyak sisi ini. Ketika kita mempelajari lebih lanjut tentang pariwisata, mulai berpikir tentang tantangan dan peluang di masa depan yang ada di depan mata untuk semua industri ini dan bagaimana hal tersebut dapat mempengaruhi kehidupan kita semua. Pariwisata lebih dari sekadar industri; pariwisata telah berkembang menjadi bagian penting dari struktur ekonomi di banyak komunitas, wilayah, dan negara.
