Synopsis

This Database textbook was created to meet learning needs in the vocational education pathway. The contents of this textbook have been made as simple as possible in the theory section so that it can help readers understand the projects that have been provided. The types of projects created are adapted to theory so that readers get a more complete picture of Database Systems in the current era. The discussion regarding the projects carried out is adjusted to current learning challenges in accordance with the directions for learning using the Project Based Learning (PjBL) Method. Some practice assignments have also adapted to the Case Method learning method. The reader is directed as if to make a case and then directed to find alternative solutions that can be taken. The learning process using this book can be adjusted to existing needs.
This book is used specifically for theoretical database theory material. But even though it is more theoretical, this book is aligned with practical courses. It even discusses cases that occur in the real industrial world. Therefore, this theory book is very suitable for applied students to study as a handbook and can be used as a reference for practical work and industrial needs.

Author Biographies

Fitria Claudya Lahinta, SST., MT, Manado State Polytechnic

Fitria Claudya Lahinta, SST., MT was born in North Minahasa, North Sulawesi on February 19 1994. The author is a D IV graduate of Manado State Polytechnic, Informatics Engineering Study Program and a Masters graduate from Hasanuddin University, Makassar, Electrical Engineering study program, Informatics Engineering Concentration. Since 2019 the author works as a non-permanent lecturer at Manado State Polytechnic, Department of Electrical Engineering. Currently, in 2022, the author has been appointed as a permanent civil servant lecturer at the Manado State Polytechnic, Informatics Engineering study program. The author is a teacher of Database and Visual Programming courses in the D3 Computer Study Program and Web Design and Logic and Algorithm courses in the Applied Information Technology Undergraduate Study Program.

Alfrets Septy Wauran , ST., M.Kom., MCSE was born in Manado City, North Sulawesi on September 27 1978. Graduated from S1 Samratulangi University in the Electrical Engineering Study Program. Masters graduate from AMIKOM University Yogyakarta, Informatics Engineering study program. And a master's degree graduate from HAN University of Applied Science, Netherlands, Master of Control Systems Engineering study program. Since the beginning of 2005 until now, the author has worked as a lecturer at the Manado State Polytechnic, Department of Electrical Engineering. The author is a BNSP (National Professional Certification Body) Assessor. In addition, the author is an instructor in the DTS program of the Ministry of Communication and Information. The author is a teacher of Control Engineering courses in the Department of Electrical Engineering
