Innovation in the use of steel materials in construction structures is important today because of its strength and efficiency which are more profitable when compared to construction projects that use other materials such as concrete or wood. It is hoped that with this innovation, it can increase the competitiveness of the use of steel materials, especially in the construction world in Indonesia, so that it can produce buildings that are more structurally efficient and minimize the use of materials in the field. With the increasing development of technology for the manufacture and design of steel construction structures, an important understanding is needed regarding the concept of design and analysis in accordance with the development of current regulations and standards. The Advanced Building Steel Structure Book is compiled to answer the needs of students, especially in the field of Civil Engineering, in understanding and improving the analysis and design skills of a multi-storey steel building for building construction. This book explains the concept of planning and analysis of steel building portals, which explains about column-beam connections, girder plates and connecting plates, composite beams and the basis for calculations used in steel portal planning. This book is made of 4 chapters consisting of Chapter 1: Introduction, Chapter 2: Planning of steel beam and column connections in building structures, Chapter 3: Planning of full-walled plate beams, Chapter 4: Composite steel beams and columns, Chapter 5 on analysis of steel building portal planning. This book is also equipped with a Steel Construction Profile Table that can make it easier for students to design the profile of building structure elements related to the practice questions and formative tests in this book. With this textbook, it is hoped that students can easily understand and apply the principles of calculating steel structure construction for buildings in order to improve the competence of Applied Bachelor graduates, especially in the field of Civil Engineering.
