Synopsis

Applied Mathematics is a branch of mathematics related to mathematical techniques used in the application of mathematical science to other fields. Applied mathematics concerns the use of abstract mathematical tools to solve concrete problems in science, business and beyond. This course inspires and makes use of new mathematical findings, and sometimes leads to the development of entirely new scientific disciplines, such as statistics and game theory.

In studying related sciences in the field of Civil Engineering, students need to have good basic mathematical knowledge. To support the teaching and learning process for Applied Mathematics courses, it is necessary to provide guidance for lecturers and students in the form of textbooks.
